Why we built it

For two years the AI-content pitch was volume: generate hundreds of articles, publish them automatically. Then Google's 2025 scaled-content-abuse enforcement changed the maths, unreviewed AI volume became a penalty risk, not a growth hack. For an agency, publishing unchecked AI to a client's brand was always the bigger risk: a hallucinated product spec, an off-brand voice, a claim no one signed off on.

AltoRank was built for anyone who can't take that risk. The stakes are sharpest for an agency publishing to a client's brand, but they are the same stakes on your own site. It keeps the speed of AI generation but adds the thing autopilot tools removed, an editorial gate you control, click or rule, with the approver recorded on every article, before anything goes live.

Who it's for

Agencies running SEO content across a roster of client sites, each in its own workspace, and anyone else who wants AI-assisted SEO content without handing over the publish button. The engine is open source, so you can run it on your own infrastructure, read the scoring, and change it.

Why the assistant matters now

A buyer who once typed a query into Google increasingly asks an assistant instead, and the assistant answers with a handful of names. It picks them by searching, reading the pages it can parse, and repeating what those pages say. A site it cannot read is not in the running, however good the work behind it. We scanned 274 agency sites against the nine signals that decide this and 6 passed all nine. Closing that gap is the first thing this product does.

Agencies get a tier of their own: per-client workspaces, isolated voice profiles and white-label reporting, for firms running this across several brands at once. That is a plan, not the whole product.
