Mangools alternatives (2026)

The short answer: Mangools is a budget suite for keyword research, SERP checks and rank tracking. Is there anything better than Mangools?

At its price, it is hard to beat. Mangools bundles keyword research, SERP analysis, rank tracking, backlink data and site analysis, and every plan now also includes an API, an MCP server and AI search prompt monitoring. That is a lot for €37.70 a month on annual billing.

Where it is beaten is on scale and on limits. Its Basic plan allows 100 keyword lookups a day, 200 tracked keywords and weekly rank updates; daily updates start on Agency. If you hit those limits, SE Ranking gives more room at a similar price, and Semrush and Ahrefs give far more data at a much higher one.

And if research was never the goal, only a means to producing content, a keyword tool of any size leaves the actual work to you.

The eight alternatives

1. AltoRank: when keywords are a means to content

Ours, and not a keyword tool in Mangools' sense, so read the rest before weighing it. AltoRank researches the questions a site's buyers search, then drafts the article in the site's voice with sources attached and holds it for a person to approve before it publishes. You do not get a lookup box or a rank tracker to browse. Open source under AGPL-3.0, free to self-host, €69/mo managed for 100 articles. Pick it if the keyword list was only ever the start of the job.

2. Ubersuggest: the cheap single-site option

Keyword research, a site audit and rank tracking for one site: €29/mo on Individual (one project, 125 tracked keywords, 150 searches a day), €49 on Business and €99 on Enterprise, billed monthly, with lifetime licences also sold. A one-time 7-day trial on monthly plans. Read from app.neilpatel.com/en/pricing on 30 September 2026. The closest like-for-like on price, and it has its own roundup of alternatives.

3. Keywords Everywhere: volume in your browser

A browser extension that shows search volume, CPC and trend next to Google results, billed on credits. Bronze $84/yr for 100,000 credits and 1 seat, Silver $168/yr for 400,000 and 3 seats, Gold $480/yr for 2 million and 10 seats, Platinum $1,440/yr for 8 million and 20 seats; one credit buys the metrics for one keyword. The REST API and an MCP server share the same credits. Read from keywordseverywhere.com/compare-plans on 25 September 2026. The cheapest way on this page to see volume while you work.

4. SE Ranking: more room at a similar price

The natural step up. Core €87.20/mo billed yearly for 10 projects, 1 seat, 2,000 keywords and 100 AI prompts tracked daily, and 250,000 audited pages a month; Growth €188/mo for 30 projects, 3 seats, 5,000 keywords and 250 prompts. Month to month those are €109 and €235. Unlimited keyword, competitor and backlink research. A 14-day trial. Read from seranking.com/pricing on 25 September 2026.

5. Semrush: the broadest suite

The most complete toolset here, and priced accordingly. On 25 September 2026 semrush.com/prices showed four paid tiers from €112.52 to €436.99 a month, marked as discounted from €134 to €526, with 500 to 5,000 keywords tracked daily, custom prompt monitoring on the entry plan and 50 to 200 prompts tracked daily above it, plus a free plan with one demo project. Worth it when Mangools' limits are the problem and budget is not. See the Semrush alternatives.

6. Ahrefs: backlinks and crawl scale

Known for backlink data, with what it calls the world's second-most active crawler. Lite €119/mo (€99 billed yearly) for 5 projects, 750 tracked keywords and 1 user; Standard €229 (€191) for 20 projects; Advanced €419 (€349) for 50. A Starter plan at €27/mo and Ahrefs Free sit below. Read from ahrefs.com/pricing on 30 September 2026. It has its own roundup of alternatives.

7. SiteGuru: a to-do list, not a lookup tool

Ranks for "Mangools alternative" by pitching past keyword research: a technical audit, a prioritised to-do list and ongoing tracking. $49/mo for 5 websites, $99 for 15 and $199 for 50, billed monthly, each with 5,000 pages and 2,500 keywords per site. A 6-week free trial with no card. Read from siteguru.co/pricing on 25 September 2026.

8. Morningscore: easy, with ChatGPT rankings

Pitches itself as simpler than Semrush and Ahrefs while covering their core, and tracks rankings in ChatGPT as well as Google. Lite $69/mo for 3 websites and 100 daily tracked keywords, Business $99/mo for 10 and 500, Pro $159/mo for 30 and 2,000, Premium $299/mo for 100 and 5,000. A 14-day free trial with no card. Not listed: Serpstat and Moz Pro, whose pricing pages did not return prices to a plain read on 25 September 2026. For audit-first tools, see the WooRank alternatives.

Keywords only matter once a page can be read. The free check reads your homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt and tells you, line by line, what is missing.

Nine checks on the homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt. No account, no email gate, and a link you can share. The scoring is in the open-source code, so it can be read rather than trusted.
